I was about as shocked as you before knowing this as well…
But in 2008, MIT conducted a study on lead response time.
Now I know what you might be thinking.
“Well, if you reach out to your leads sooner of course you are going to have much more success.”
Well yes technically, but let me really put this in perspective for you.
In their study, they found out that as soon as a lead submits their information to inquire more about a business's services.
If the business reaches out to contact that lead within 5 minutes they are:
✅ 5 times more likely in contacting that lead than reaching out within 10 minutes
✅ 100 times more likely in contacting that lead than reaching out within 30 minutes
✅ And I don't even think you want to know what it looks like after that…
So what does that mean for you?
Well if you think about it for just one second.
Every lead you get through:
👉 Your Website
👉 Corporate Marketing
👉 Social Media
Every single second and minute you waste in an effort to reach out to that lead to schedule a time for them to come in…
Gives you a MASSIVE disadvantage in contacting that lead.
Which results in you:
❌ Setting a substantially less amount of appointments
❌ Less sales for new members and training clients
❌ Less revenue in your business
❌ Less people in the community impacted
❌ More people going to your competitors
All because of not incorporating one simple thing.
Contacting the lead as soon as they showed interest.
The point?
Make sure you have systems in place to be able to reach out to leads as soon as they inquire for more information!
The longer you wait, the more time they have to go to another gym that is not yours.
